The U20 men’s freestyle team set a new record with five gold medals, the most of any single U20/Junior World Championships team in history. Team USA scored 182 points, easily capturing the team title over second-place Kazakhstan, which registered 112 points. Iran finished third with 111.

The U20 women’s freestyle team finished in fourth place in the team standings with 95 team points, bringing home one gold medal and one silver medal. The Greco-Roman portion of the event had not yet concluded as of press time.

  • Gold – Marcus Blaze (61 kg)
  • Gold – Luke Stanich (65 kg)
  • Gold – PJ Duke (70 kg)
  • Gold – Max McEnelly (86 kg)
  • Gold – Justin Rademacher (97 kg)
  • Silver – William Henckel (79 kg)
  • Bronze – Connor Mirasola (92 kg)
  • Bronze – Cole Mirasola (125 kg)

U20 World Medalists – Women’s Freestyle

  • Gold – Everest Leydecker (55 kg)
  • Silver – Audrey Jiminez (50 kg)

 

The U20 men’s freestyle squad’s historic performance saw Team USA clinch five gold medals, a silver medal and two bronze medals.

Everest Leydecker, a 17-year-old rising high school senior at Valiant Prep in Arizona, outscored opponents 50-2 on her way to capturing the 55-kg U20 World Championship gold medal.

New Jersey native Luke Stanich (Lehigh) claimed U20 gold at 65 kg.
